From 20 to 28 June 2026, Villa delle Rose, part of the Civic Museums of Bologna, hosts Le ferite di Bologna, curated by Spazio Taverna.

The exhibition is based on ten historical “wounds” drawn from Bologna’s past - events and places that mark moments of collective rupture, from the 1321 revolt of the Studium to the 2002 assassination of Marco Biagi. These episodes form a symbolic map of the city’s memory and identity.

In this context, Francesca Grilli will present an image depicting the hand of a descendant of an Italian partisan, as a gesture that connects personal lineage with collective memory and transmission across generations, also in relation to Francesca’s family history.
